We strive to continually improve the quality of our product whilst ensuring and maintaining good working relationship with all key stakeholders and promoting an environment of continual improvement.

                      Safety Management System

OHS ISO45001 HS YELLOWRGBwideSafety is paramount to Queensland Bridge & Civil; we are committed to providing a safe place to work for everyone and strive relentlessly to ensure all employees and subcontractors understand their role in maintaining high safety standards.

Queensland Bridge & Civil employ a full time Safety Officer who undertakes monthly audits of all sites to monitor health and safety procedures and practices as well as instilling a safety culture throughout the organisation.

As a construction company involved in the use of natural resources and energy for the delivery of quality public infrastructure the company has prepared and implemented environmental strategies to address (ESD) values and principles and compliance with relevant environmental laws and statutes.

 Fire Ant Management

Queensland Bridge & Civil is committed to reducing the spread of Fire Ants and works in accordance with the Queensland Biosecurity Act & Regulation to ensure compliance with our management plan requirements. Environmental Strategies are developed for each individual project, as required, to ensure that any threat to the spread of Fire Ants is controlled appropriately. Key QBC personnel have undertaken Fire Ant training and are capable of identifying nests and following appropriate reporting procedures.

 

Queensland Bridge & Civil ensures that all suppliers and subcontractors adhere to our requirements and documentation through training, communication and consultation with all our providers.

 

Traffic Management System

 The control and safe movement of traffic through and around Queensland Bridge & Civil sites is imperative to a safe work site. Traffic Management is therefore one of the key elements in the Company's Integrated Management System.

 In accordance with Queensland Government requirements for the preparation of traffic management plans, key Queensland Bridge and Civil personnel have undertaken, and are qualified in Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) in accordance with the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) requirements. QB&C also employs several Traffic Management Design (TMD) qualified personnel whom are proficient in the design and auditing of Traffic Guidance Schemes.

 With a significant number of trained traffic controllers in-house, Queensland Bridge & Civil have also achieved certification in accordance with the Department of Transport and Main Roads Traffic Management Registration Scheme which allows us to use our in-house trained traffic controllers on state owned roads.

 Queensland Bridge & Civil use state of the art traffic management software (RapidPlan) for the preparation of all project traffic management and project staging plans.
